Age Range: 4 - 12

All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

For more information on the golf and tennis lessons at camp, please click here.

Golf: 1 recreational group lesson each week
Tennis: 1 recreational group lesson each week
Swimming: recreational swim time in the club’s pool each day
Arts & Crafts
Group Games

STEM Challenges

Wacky Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at camp is a wacky one with a different festive theme – a true highlight of each week! Check out this summer’s Wacky Wednesday Calendar!

Thankful Thursdays

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Packing List

KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Extra Snacks (Optional)

We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.

Covid-19 Safety Policy

As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.

We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly!  We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Please find our 2021 Covid-19 Safety Policy here.

Meet Your Camp Director

Dear Campers and Families,

My name is Maya Symonanis, and I am the new director at Camp Woodhill. I am so excited to meet all of you and to help your children experience all that we have to offer at camp!

I am about to enter my senior year of college in the fall at Depaul University in Chicago, Illinois. I am in the College of Education with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Exceptionality and Learning, which is a subtopic of Special Education. I have had some amazing hands-on experiences that have helped prepare me to take on this role at camp. During this past school year, I worked one-on-one with a kindergarten student in Lake Forest, Illinois as his e-learning paraprofessional and nanny. I was also a camp counselor with KE Camps at The Lake Forest Club last summer during the Covid-19 pandemic, where I was challenged with helping run camp with my campers in a safe manner.

I have always loved working with kids since I started babysitting at the age of thirteen, and I plan to continue to work with children during the upcoming school year through observation hours, nannying, and my student teaching semester as well. One of the main reasons I love it is that I learn from them as much as they learn from me. Children are such talented, creative, and inspiring people that deserve to be listened to and supported, no matter what their interests or expertise are. I am a major advocate for allowing children to bring their own personalities and styles to camp and am always open to hearing their suggestions on what they want to see at camp and incorporate into the day to make it their own.

In my free time, I absolutely love travelling. I am from Chicago and live there during the year, so I spend a lot of my time exploring the neighborhoods of the city, trying new foods, and going to all the major league sporting events, especially the Chicago Blackhawks! Some of my hobbies include dance, photography, writing, hiking, cycling, and boxing. I recently developed a passion for boxing and exercise, which led me to begin my studies for the American Council of Exercise Group Fitness Certification Exam which I am taking in July so I can start teaching group classes in the fall alongside my studies. I am a huge supporter of being active so you can expect that your children will be active all summer long!

I am truly excited for this summer at Woodhill and to bring my expertise from my previous summer with KE Camps and my years of working with children to the club. One trait I pride myself on is my organization and the other is my enthusiasm for everything I am involved in. I look forward to bringing both of these strengths to camp and helping your children have the best and most carefree summer possible. Please never hesitate to reach out to me at any time this summer and I am so looking forward to camp with all of you!
