Activities

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

For more information on the golf and tennis lessons at camp, please click here.

Tennis: 2 recreational group sessions each week
Swimming: recreational swim time in the club’s pool each day

Wacky Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at camp is a wacky one with a different festive theme – a true highlight of each week! Check out this summer’s Wacky Wednesday Calendar!

Thankful Thursdays

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

The club will provide a delicious lunch, afternoon snack and beverage daily.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Registration & Payments

Registration for Summer 2021 is open and will continue until we are full.  So, you may add additional weeks as the summer goes on. You must be enrolled in advance, however, in order to attend camp. We are happy to accept online registrations up until the night before the start of each week of camp, provided that space is available.

Full payment is due upon registration.  This includes a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $40 which includes 2 camp t-shirts. We accept ACH Payments and American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.

If your child has special needs or will require extra assistance while at camp, please contact us before you enroll to discuss!

Cancellations & Refunds

All requests for cancellations or changes must be made in writing to our office via email at info@kecamps.com.  Cancellations made by June 14, 2021 will be refunded in full (less the registration fee). After that, there are no refunds. We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.

Covid-19 Safety Policy

As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.

We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly!  We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Please find our 2021 Covid-19 Safety Policy here.

Meet Your Camp Director

Dear Campers & Families,

My name is Sarah Slaughter and I serve as the Camp Director at Olympia Fields Country Club. Let me begin by saying how ecstatic I am to meet you and to begin a fun-filled summer!

One thing you should know about me: I live to love! I enjoy doing things I love while developing meaningful relationships in the process. A recent graduate of Bethune-Cookman University, I have obtained my B.A. in Music Education K-12, and am in pursuit of an M.A. in Global/International Studies. I have recently accepted the positions of the general music instructor and show choir director at Sauk Elementary for the upcoming school year. I serve as the music director at my church, and am heavily invested in singing and playing the alto saxophone. I also have a pet chihuahua named Tanner who

I just love and adore! I have years of experience in leading, teaching, and mentoring both children and adults. Summer is such an enjoyable and a transforming time with opportunities for children to explore their interests, express their creativity, and engage with their community in a safe and fun environment. I’m very eager to share such a precious time with you, actively working towards creating many memories and meaningful relationships.

Children, music, and expressivity are all my greatest passions! I look forward to helping create an environment of young & vibrant children, daily yearning to expand their minds and explore the endless possibilities of life! I can vividly recall the many years of experience I’ve enjoyed in several camps, both as a mentor & an attendee. I’ve attended and served as a counselor for many band and summer leadership camps. My philosophy of leading always incorporates the goal of self-efficacy. I want children to know and understand that they can do anything they desire with the right energy and motive. Children innately exude excitement for new & fulfilling experiences in life. Children are inquisitive and daring about their abilities. My lifetime goal is to make sure their choices are intentional and purposeful. I love to see children asking questions and taking leaps of faith to test their abilities. I strive to ensure that they feel safe and fully supported in all of their endeavors. In order to do this, I also believe in the quality of fulfilling parent/guardian relationships.

I can’t wait to meet each of you and contribute to you having one of the best summer experiences yet! See you at camp!

Sincerely,

Sarah J. Slaughter
