Club Registration Requirements
If you are not a Club Member of Oakmont Country Club, you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Oakmont Kids Camp in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Oakmont Country Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.
Age Range: 4 - 10
All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.
Covid-19 Safety Policy
As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.
We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly! We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Meet Your Camp Director
The Warmest HELLO to our 2021 Oakmont KE Camps Family!
My name is Marissa Subar and I am excited to introduce myself as your camp director. Together, we will begin a new journey that is fresh and filled to the brim with excitement, friendships, meaningful creations, hands-on learning, and busting at the seams with that feel-good kumbaya camp MAGIC that we all could use right now.
A true valley girl at heart, I grew up in Granada Hills and after a decade of living in the Midwest, I moved back home in 2017 and settled into a groovy little neighborhood in Studio City where I live with my Maltipoo puppy, Orly. I went to Indiana University for both my BA in Child Psychology and MA in Human Development & Family Studies. I originally planned on becoming a marriage & family therapist but after an internship with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, it was obvious my energy was best suited for CAMP and oodles of other specialty kids’ programs.
I have 15 years of experience in directorship in child development programming, so when the pandemic hit, I immediately searched for where I could best serve our community’s most vulnerable kiddos. I opened up my own program, Art in the Park, while also tutoring and mentoring my cousins during the wild ride that has been distanced learning. My favorite stories come from my experience as Engagement Director for Right At School (RAS), a start-up in Chicago that created enrichment camps (run out of all types of school buildings) from the ground up. My most cherished memory from that time would have to be starting a spontaneous CONGA LINE at a family marketing event! We ended up taking over almost a full mile of school property. I haven’t stopped conga-lining since, so get ready!
I love finding and CELEBRATING what makes each child unique. This is (part of) what the spirit of CAMP is all about! Finding the good in yourself, the good in others, and then enthusiastically lifting each other up with all that goodness during each daily activity or adventure - that’s where the real camp magic is found.
When I’m not at camp, you can find me swimming in any body of water (fun fact: the name “Marissa” translates to “Born at Sea” which suits me perfectly), taking photographs on my beloved Nikon DSLR, spending quality time belly laughing with friends and family, thrift shopping, crafting, writing, becoming one with nature, and traveling/road tripping top-down with tunes of all genres blaring in my convertible named Konmari - bonus points and a potential SMILE Band to whoever knows the translation of the name, “Konmari.”
I look forward to meeting each of you and spotting all of the unique qualities your kiddos bring to our camp family.
Buckle up, friends... we’re about to make some incredible memories!
