Club Registration Requirements
If you are not a Club Member of Lakeside Park Country Club, you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Camp Lakeside Park in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Lakeside Park Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.
Age Range: 4 - 12
All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Registration & Payments
Registration for Summer 2021 is open and will continue until we are full. So, you may add additional weeks as the summer goes on. You must be enrolled in advance, however, in order to attend camp. We are happy to accept online registrations up until the night before the start of each week of camp, provided that space is available.
Full payment is due upon registration. This includes a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $40 which includes 2 camp t-shirts. We accept ACH Payments and American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
If your child has special needs or will require extra assistance while at camp, please contact us before you enroll to discuss!
Cancellations & Refunds
All requests for cancellations or changes must be made in writing to our office via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Cancellations made by June 20, 2021 will be refunded in full (less the registration fee). After that, there are no refunds. We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.
Covid-19 Safety Policy
As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.
We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly! We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Meet Your Camp Director
Hello Lakeside Park Campers and Families!
I hope you are gearing up for camp because I am so excited to meet you all! My name is Yvonne Nguyen and I have the joy of serving as your Camp Director this summer. This means that I get to plan out all of the fun activities and adventures we’ll be up to!
I currently work as a classroom teacher at James River High School in Chesterfield County where I teach English to 9th and 10th graders. This means that I love books, reading, and working with kids! Before then, I graduated from the University of Virginia with a bachelor’s degree in English and Drama and a master’s degree in Secondary English Education, which officially makes me a double Hoo! A big “wahoowa” to any of my Virginia fans out there! While this is my first year at Lakeside Park, I am no stranger to the summer camp experience. I spent several summers as a camp counselor at Camp Potomac Woods in Northern Virginia and The Summer Enrichment Program in Charlottesville. Outside of camp and teaching, I also have experience as a writing tutor, dance teacher, and mentor!
As you can probably tell, working with children is my life’s passion! I love being able to find new ways to engage with campers and plan out activities that they’ll enjoy. To me, camp is all about getting out of your comfort zone and making memories that will last a lifetime. I still keep in touch with friends that I met at camp when I was a kid and I hope to facilitate that experience for you all as well! This summer, I am most looking forward to going ALL OUT for our Wacky Wednesdays! The crazier the costumes, the better. I’m also excited to sharpen up my athletic skills with golf and tennis. I may be a little rusty…
When I’m not at camp, I love to cuddle up with a good book, experiment with new recipes in the kitchen, or spend time with my friends and family! My biggest goal right now is to get settled into the Richmond area. I moved here in August 2020 and have had the best time exploring everything that this city has to offer! I can definitely say that after only a few months, Richmond has my heart and I plan on being a Richmond resident for life.
This summer, if you see me around camp, please say hi! Getting to know you campers is the best part of camp for me.
