Activities

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lake Valhalla Club will offer an Afternoon Waterfront Program from 2:30pm - 3:45pm daily, separate from Lake Valhalla Day Camp.  The optional program is fully operated by Lake Valhalla Club and is a great addition for those families hoping to have their child participate in waterfront activities.  Please reach out to the club directly for more information.

Wacky Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at camp is a wacky one with a different festive theme – a true highlight of each week! Check out this summer’s Wacky Wednesday Calendar!

Thankful Thursdays

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

A kid-friendly lunch will be provided by the club daily for every camper. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack.

A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Packing List

KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Extra Snacks (Optional)
Sunscreen: Spray for body is preferred
Tennis Racquet (Optional)
Water Bottle

Payments, Cancellations, Refunds

Registration & Payments

Registration for Summer 2022 is open and will continue until we are full. You must be enrolled in advance, however, in order to attend camp. We are happy to accept online registrations up until the night before the start of each week of camp, provided that space is available and your child's Health Form Supplement is received.

Full payment is due upon registration.  This includes a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $42 which includes 2 camp t-shirts. We accept ACH Payments and American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.  We encourage all families to pay via ACH as all credit card transactions will be subject to a 2.5% surcharge to offset the cost of credit card processing.

If your child has special needs or will require extra assistance while at camp, please contact us before you enroll to discuss!

Cancellations & Refunds

All requests for cancellations or changes must be made in writing to our office via email at info@kecamps.com.  Cancellations made by June 26, 2022 will be refunded in full (less the registration fee).   After that, there are no refunds. We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.

We thank you for your cooperation in getting this form to us in a timely manner.

Should your child require any medication during the camp day (including an Epi-Pen or Inhaler), we ask that you complete this form and send it directly to our office or hand it to your Camp Director on your child’s first day of camp.

Meet Your Camp Director

Dear Camp Families,

My name is Samantha Lyon, and I am excited to be your camp director this summer! While this is my first summer with KE Camps, growing up, I was always involved in my town's local summer camps and childcare programs. Being involved in the magic of camp inspired me to want to spread that joy to others and dedicate my career to working with children. I have dedicated myself to helping youth learn and grow by exploring creativity, spreading positivity and fostering responsibility.

I hold a bachelor's degree from William Paterson University in Elementary Education, with a concentration in English Writing. Additionally, I hold a master's degree from Montclair State University in Educational Leadership and Supervision. This upcoming school year will be my 7th year teaching 4th grade. I love inspiring my students to try their best and always be lifelong learners! I love coaching cheerleading, working out, baking, camping, hiking, doing yoga and spending time with my friends and family.

I look forward to sharing and exploring new hobbies and activities with campers, while making sure that camp is a safe and welcoming place for all who attend. I am thrilled to join the team at KE Camps and I am looking forward to a fun-filled summer!

See you soon!

Samantha Lyon
