House Guests of a Club Member must be sponsored by the Member whose home the guest is staying in. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Camp Toxaway in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. No exceptions to the above stated policy will be made.
Age Range: 5 - 12
All campers must be at least 5 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all full-day campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Covid-19 Safety Policy
As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.
We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly! We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
I am so excited to be with Camp Toxaway for my second year! My name is Dorothie Willson, and I will be your camp director this summer. Having the reins as camp director gives me the ability to provide excitement and summer fun for our campers. I feel I did just that last summer. We had an amazing summer, and I looking forward to what is in store for Summer 2021.
I am a native to North Carolina. I have researched my roots and have discovered they have been in NC over three hundred years. I grew up in Wilmington, NC and moved to the western part of the state 26 years ago. I attended Western Carolina University, where I majored in Recreational Therapy and minored in English Literature. Feeling that I needed to work with children, I then added a certificate of Elementary Education from Mars Hill University. I have taught for the past fifteen years, most of which have been in kindergarten.
Camp life is not new to me. For the past 20 years, I have either been a counselor or taught at a camp with children with disabilities. The adventures of rafting, hiking, rock climbing, and caving have filled my summer days. I have been married for 21 years and have two teenagers that keep me going! I am an avid reader and like to write stories on Saturday mornings. As a family, we love to travel. I just recently took up “open boating” (AKA whitewater canoeing). We like to go hiking and camping. I have a dog and a cat. My beloved puggle named Snuggles makes me smile every day!
I am looking forward to camp starting and spending time making fun memories.
