Club Registration Requirements

Lake Toxaway Country Club's Kids Camp is open to Current Club Members, their House Guests (guests staying in the home of a club member), children of Renters who have approved access to club amenities by way of an approved temporary membership and Greystone Inn Guests.  House Guests of a Club Member must be sponsored by the Member whose home the guest is staying in.  The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Camp Toxaway in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor.  No exceptions to the above stated policy will be made.

Age Range: 5 - 9

All campers must be at least 5 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

For more information on the golf and tennis lessons at camp, please click here.

Golf: 1 recreational group lesson each week (for Full Day Campers only)
Tennis: 1 recreational group lesson each week (for Full Day Campers only)

Wacky Wednesdays

Every Wednesday at camp is a wacky one with a different festive theme – a true highlight of each week! Check out this summer’s Wacky Wednesday Calendar!

Thankful Thursdays

We are excited to announce the return of Thankful Thursdays into our camp program! In true camp spirit, every Thursday campers will have the chance to give back to their community by working together on a simple, fun and rewarding community service project. Check out this summer’s Thankful Thursday Calendar!

Lunch & Snacks

The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all full-day campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.

Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp.   We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts.   Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts.   If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Packing List

KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Extra Snacks (Optional)
Flotation Vest: If you know that your child will be classified as a Bogey (our term for Non-Swimmer) this summer or you prefer your child to be classified this way, please pack a flotation vest for use in the Shallow End of the pool.
Golf Clubs (Optional)
Sunscreen: Spray for body is preferred
Tennis Racquet (Optional)

Meet Your Camp Director

Dear Camp Families,

My name is Richard Stubbs and my family and I moved to Brevard, NC in 2018 from Statesboro, Ga. I attended Mars Hill University and moved back to Georgia when my oldest was 1-year-old. We tried for 15 years to get back to the mountains, and we finally made it! Currently, I teach seniors at Brevard High School.

My mom taught school for 36 years, and I knew all along it was what I wanted to do. I dodged it for 12 years while working in the financial industry and eventually gave in - I'm finally doing what I was put on this earth to do. I’m excited to be working at Lake Toxaway this summer. I’m especially looking forward to being around younger kids and making sure their camp experience is meaningful and FUN! I remember the nervousness of that first day at camp, but then the nervousness moved to excitement as our day began. I remember how much my counselors encouraged us to try new things and allowed us to be ourselves. I hope to bring that same experience to camp this summer.

I have a beautiful wife named Julie and we will have been married 24 years. We have three outstanding sons - Isaiah (a junior at Western Carolina University), Abram (just graduated from Brevard High) and my youngest, Ezra, (a freshman at Brevard High). We also have a crazy dog perfectly named Folly. I enjoy spending time with my family, watching football, baseball, basketball and other sports. I like action movies and cooking. I love to grill and I'm a news junkie.

See you soon!
