Club Registration Requirements
If you are not a Club Member of Itasca Country Club, you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with ICC Day Camp in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows the club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.
Age Range: 5 - 10
All campers must be at least 5 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Covid-19 Safety Policy
As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.
We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly! We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Meet Your Camp Director
Hello Campers and Families!
My name is Vas Kolias, and I am the director of ICC Day Camp at Itasca Country Club. I am super excited to get to know all of you and have an amazing summer! Some of you may even remember me from camp last year.
Here is something you really need to know about me: working with children is one of my greatest passions. Since turning sixteen, I have dedicated every summer to working with kids and helping them to develop into individuals. Eight summers later, with time spent as a lead counselor and head coach, I understand the impact that summer camp can have on a camper’s relationships, wisdom, energy, and overall life progress. I do not take this notion lightly and am extremely excited to start camps and maximize every single camper’s experience.
Outside of working with children, my biggest life passions have been hockey and education. In the past year, I moved into the captain position of the Division I men’s hockey team at Union College, and received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a specialization in Attachment. Pursuing each has helped me to understand the weight of leadership and how to apply it, the value of proper discipline, and (most importantly) the value of being true to oneself along the way. These are three things that I apply directly to my life, and I share them with every camper I encounter.
I enjoy music and content creation, love playing all sports, am a huge fan of giraffes, and think that Groundhog Day is just plain goofy. Who relies on a rodent to predict the weather?! My favorite food is mac n cheese, despite the fact that I’m lactose intolerant, and I like watching movies more than anyone you will ever meet, so if you have a good movie quote, feel free to throw it at me. Let’s see if you can stump the master.
To finish my introduction, I will leave you with this: I am a laid-back guy that loves kids because they remind me to keep a youthful outlook. What I really want to do is say thank you. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to bring your camper a great summer. Together we’re going to make some new friends, have a ton of fun, and – who knows? – we might even learn a few things.
Can’t wait to see everyone this summer!
