Club Registration Requirements
If you are not a Club Member of Grosse Ile Golf & Country Club you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with GIGCC Day camp in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Grosse Ile Golf & Country Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way.
Age Range: 5 - 12
All campers must be at least 5 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Our CIT (Counselor In Training) Program will run during the week of July 12th and is open to children ages 13 to 16. These older campers will participate in both regular camp activities as well as leadership projects.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
A kid-friendly lunch will be provided by the club daily for each camper. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack.
A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:

Full payment is due upon registration. This includes a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $40 which includes 2 camp t-shirts. We accept ACH Payments and American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
If your child has special needs or will require extra assistance while at camp, please contact us before you enroll to discuss!

Covid-19 Safety Policy
As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.
We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly! We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Meet Your Camp Director
Hello Campers and Families,
My name is Claire Walters, and I am the new director of GIGCC Day Camp at Grosse Ile Country Golf & Country Club. I am very excited to meet you and have a fun-filled summer together!
To begin getting to know each other, I would like to share a few things about myself. I am currently a student at Saint Mary’s College of Notre Dame, majoring in Communications and Education. My passion for working with children stems from having experiences student teaching, working a band camp, and being a soccer coach. All of these experiences have shown me how meaningful it is to make sure children are having fun while learning new skills. It is really rewarding seeing children become excited about learning something new. I want that same experience for every child at camp this summer!
In addition to being a college student, I enjoy running, especially on a beautiful summer day, playing and listening to music on my record player, playing card games with my family, and watching sunsets with my friends. A few fun facts are that I play the saxophone in the Notre Dame marching band, I am a leap year baby, and my favorite ice cream is a twist with sprinkles!
I am incredibly excited to be your camp director and make sure that you all have the best summer! I look forward to singing cheers, making crafts, and having a lot of outdoor fun with all of you. The countdown to meet you starts now! See you soon!
