Activities

Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike!  Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”.   The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Meet Your Camp Director

Dear Camp Families,

My name is Shannon Quirk, and I am pleased to announce that I will be your camp director at Golf Club of Avon Summer Camp! I am excited to join the KE family and be a part of your children’s summer! I am a full-time graduate social work student at the University of Connecticut. I have worked with youth and families in a variety of roles for the past seven years! Most recently, I worked with youth in the foster care system, but also have experience working as head lifeguard and swim coach at a country club in Massachusetts.

I am a lifelong swimmer and outdoor enthusiast! In my free time, I love to go for long runs and hikes. I am looking forward to sharing my love of the outdoors and nature with the campers this summer! I have so many fond memories of spending my summers playing tennis, swimming, and making friends at my family's local golf club. and I am excited to experience that same summer magic with our campers!

I am looking forward to introducing campers to new experiences and helping them be the best versions of themselves! I love mindfulness activities and I am excited to share some of those this summer!

Looking forward to seeing you at camp,

Shannon Quirk
