Club Registration Requirements
If you are not a Club Member of Knollwood Club you must be “Sponsored” by a Club Member in order to register your child for camp. The Sponsoring Member will not be charged in association with Camp KC in any way, however, he or she must be aware that you are listing him or her as your Sponsor. This policy allows Knollwood Club to ensure that all Non-Members attending camp are associated with a Club Member in some way. Guests of Members may enroll after April 15, should spaces remain available.
We will be happy to extend a 10% tuition discount to those families enrolling 2 or more siblings in the same week(s) this summer. To take advantage of this great savings, please use the following discount code at the time of enrollment: KNOLLSIB
Age Range: 4 - 10
All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:

Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:
Payments, Cancellations, Refunds
Registration & Payments
Registration for Summer 2021 is open to Club Members only at this time and will continue until we are full. So, you may add additional weeks as the summer goes on. You must be enrolled in advance, however, in order to attend camp. We are happy to accept online registrations up until the night before the start of each week of camp, provided that space is available.
Full payment is due upon registration. This includes a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $40 which includes 2 camp t-shirts. We accept ACH Payments and American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
If your child has special needs or will require extra assistance while at camp, please contact us before you enroll to discuss!
Cancellations & Refunds
All requests for cancellations or changes must be made in writing to our office via email at email@example.com. Cancellations made by June 14, 2021 will be refunded in full (less the registration fee). After that, there are no refunds. We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.
Covid-19 Safety Policy
As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.
We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly! We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
My name is Shannon Lindsey and I will be your Camp Director for this summer. I am "super dooperly" excited to be working with you all and making this a fun and energetic summer full of laughs, memories, and sticky hands.
I currently work in Waukegan Community Unit School District 60 as a fifth-grade teacher. I am the fifth-grade team leader and a part of our Instructional Leadership Team. I also run our cheerleaders and help with our PBIS (Positive Behavior In School) Team. I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. In 2012, I received my master's degree in Elementary Education from National Louis University in Wheeling, IL and hold an ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement. Teaching is not just a job, it's a passion. I love to see the growth and excitement on a child's face when they succeed in the classroom. Part of what keeps me going every year is the different experience I get with each school year.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my six-year-old daughter, Karter. She is the light of my world. She will be entering first grade this upcoming school year. As parents, you understand the struggle that I am having - my baby is growing up way too fast. Other hobbies include cooking new recipes, listening to music, and spending time with my family. I also dabble in gardening (herbs and tomatoes only).
Although this is my first year directing a summer camp, I am fully aware of the camp experience because as a child I attended camp. Camp is meant for making memories and having an exorbitant amount of fun. Arts and crafts are my life, so be prepared for projects walking through the door! I cannot wait to create amazing art with your kiddo. Thank you for trusting me with your precious one. I understand the angst that anyone may feel sending their baby off with a complete stranger, but I assure you that I will do my absolute best to keep your child safe and help make the camp experience great. Thank you, and I look forward to our opening day!
See you soon,
