Club Registration Requirements
Please note that you must be a member of Glen Oak Country Club to enroll your child in camp.
Age Range: 4 - 12
All campers must be at least 4 years old by the first day they attend camp. In addition, campers must be potty-trained and able to handle a full day program.
Each day of camp will be a new and exciting experience for our campers as no two days with KE Camps are exactly alike! Our days begin with Hello Camp, a morning meeting of sorts where, through an assortment of organized activities, campers and staff get to know each other, review the day’s schedule and sing our special camp song! Similarly, we will end our days with Goodbye Camp, a time for wrap-up activities and reflections, SMILE Bands, snacks, and “see you later’s”. The bulk of camp will be spent participating in a wide variety of activities throughout the day that may include:
Lunch & Snacks
The club will provide a delicious and kid-friendly lunch for every camper each day. If you would prefer to pack your own lunch for your child, please do so in a cooler or backpack. A snack will be served each afternoon to all campers. We encourage you to pack some extra snacks for your child as well.
Please note that we are a “nut aware” camp. We ask that you do not pack any food for your child that contains nuts. Likewise, the lunches and snacks served by the club will not contain any nuts. If your child has a food allergy and you have questions about this, please do not hesitate to contact us.
KE Camps requires all campers to wear our official camp shirt each day of the week. Please leave all electronic devices and cell phones at home. Campers should dress in comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. Additional shirts may be purchased at camp. Camp is a place to un-plug! Please pack the following items in a labeled bag or backpack:
Payments, Cancellations, Refunds
Registration & Payments
Registration for Summer 2021 is open and will continue until we are full. So, you may add additional weeks as the summer goes on. You must be enrolled in advance, however, in order to attend camp.
Full payment is due upon registration. This includes a one-time non-refundable registration fee of $40 which includes 2 camp t-shirts. We accept ACH Payments and American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
If your child has special needs or will require extra assistance while at camp, please contact us before you enroll to discuss!
Cancellations & Refunds
All requests for cancellations or changes must be made in writing to our office via email at email@example.com. Cancellations made by June 7, 2021 will be refunded in full (less the registration fee). After that, there are no refunds. We will, however, always offer a credit towards a future week (if space is available) or for next summer.
Covid-19 Safety Policy
As we enter into Summer 2021, we are fully prepared to take on the challenging circumstances surrounding Covid-19 - we did it in Summer 2020 and we can do it again! The health and safety of all campers, families, and staff members continues to be our absolute top priority. As we are all well-aware, protocols and guidelines surrounding Covid-19 are fluid and as such, we will adapt and adjust our policies, as needed, leading up to and during the camp season.
We encourage you to enroll early as spaces will be limited this summer and we expect that camp will fill up quickly! We are sure you agree that a summer spent at camp will be more needed and meaningful than ever this year.

Meet Your Camp Director
Dear Campers and Families,
My name is James Pligge and I am going to be the new director at Glen Oak Country Club this year. I am very excited to meet all of you and ready to have a fun and exciting summer!
One thing you should know about me is I love being active. I have participated in sports and fitness my whole life and I look forward to sharing how fun it can be to all campers. Some of my favorite activities are lifting weights, playing basketball and doing martial arts. I am a big White Sox fan (sorry Cubs fans) and enjoy watching the Bulls. One interesting fact that I enjoy sharing with everyone is that I have been to 48 different states, so feel free to ask me any questions about my traveling!
I started my journey to work with kids by helping my father run an afterschool sports program at a school he taught at. I then went to Northern Illinois University to study physical education and health. It is there that I further gained a passion to show kids fitness games and skills that would allow them to enjoy being active for a lifetime. I have been working as a substitute physical education teacher for eleven years and continue to love my job every day.
This year at camp, I look forward to having a fun and awesome time each day. Whether it’s a new sports activity, doing a creative art project or conducting a new science experiment, we will have fun and learning something new together. My goal is that each week all campers leave with a fun, meaningful and memorable experience that will make them want to come back each year!
I am very excited to be your camp director at Glen Oak Country Club and I hope everyone is ready to have an amazing summer!
